How cancellation works depends on what kind of enrolment you have. Independent students, schools, and subscription customers each have slightly different mechanics — but the principles are the same: cancellation is straightforward before payment and final after payment is verified.
Independent students — competition fee (₹125)
If you have registered for a competition but have not yet paid, open the competition detail page and click “Cancel registration.” The enrolment is marked cancelled and no charge is made. You can re-register at any time before registrations close.
If you have already paid and the payment is verified, the enrolment cannot be cancelled. The fee is non-refundable, as described in the refund policy.
Schools — enrolment in a competition
A school may cancel an enrolment cycle for any program before the first student payment is submitted. Once one or more student payments have been processed for that program in that cycle, the school's enrolment is fixed for the rest of the cycle.
A school may always remove individual students from a roster before they attempt the competition. Removed students forfeit the attempt for that cycle.
Subscription plans
School and independent subscription plans renew automatically. Cancel future renewals at any time from your billing page — available at /school/billing for schools and /independent/billing for independent students. Cancellation stops the next renewal; access continues until the end of the current paid period. Fees paid for the current period are not pro-rated or refunded.
Account deletion
To delete your account entirely, email hello@excellencequest.com from the address on the account. We will delete personal data that we are not legally required to retain. See the privacy policy for what is retained, and for how long.
